Step into my garden studio and work alongside me as I guide you on a journey to create Art with Soul.

My Winged Totem workshop is designed for all levels, beginner through advanced, to learn the skills, techniques, and concepts to create your own unique garden totem.

Start by learning the tools and techniques to create a beautiful bird base, then work your way up through different components of your totem. Implement staining and glazing techniques to your piece, then finish off the course by threading your pieces to create a beautiful garden sculpture.

As a bonus, this workshop will also unlock my classic Bird Planter - use my templates to create a sweet planter for your home or garden.

Once you've learned the techniques, you can adapt and build upon these ideas to create garden sculptures that are uniquely, authentically you.

Your imagination is your only limit!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long is the workshop?
A:
The condensed workshop is approximately 3 hours, spread across several videos in 7 different modules. However, it will take you much longer to work through each module, from creating the work through firing and final glazing/finishing. You can stop and start at any time, and re-watch modules as often as you'd like.

Q: How long do I have access to the workshop for?
A:
You can access the workshop at any time, and at any point in the future. Even if you've watched all the modules before, you can return and watch them whenever you'd like. Go at your own pace and feel free to stop/start as often as you'd like.

Q: Will it be straightforward to access all the raw materials and tools required?
A: Everything you need should be easy to access from either your local ceramic supplier or hardware store. You may also find what you need in your own kitchen or studio.

Q: How do I create a stand for my totem?
A:
The workshop covers multiple different options for creating your totem stand, including examples on how to create a very simple stand or how to create a larger, semi-permanent garden sculpture.

Q: What type of clay do I need?
A:
You will need a good quality hand-building clay. Ask your ceramic supplier for their recommendations. Be sure to check the firing range and pass this on to whoever is firing your work.

Q: What temperature do I need to fire my work?
A:
The workshop is designed for either low-fired (earthenware) or midfire clays. The underglazes are more vibrant when fired at lower temperatures.

Jena will be available throughout the workshop if you have feedback or questions - just send her a message or email her directly at [email protected].
